Our Reception girls have taken on an exciting new responsibility – caring for a group of caterpillars that have recently hatched from eggs!
With great enthusiasm, the girls are watching closely as the caterpillars begin their transformation into chrysalides and soon, we will have our very own QCPS butterflies! This hands-on experience supports our topic of the term, ‘What’s Inside the Egg?’, and ties into our ‘Understanding the World’ learning, where we are exploring life cycles in a meaningful and memorable way. And that’s not all! On Wednesday, the girls showed fantastic courage and curiosity during our Minibeast Workshop with Animals UK. They had the chance to meet and learn all about a range of fascinating creatures, including a skunk, tortoise, snake, chameleon, millipede, tarantula, and even an owl!
What a fun and engaging week we have had in Reception!
