This year, from October to March, several of our linguists in the Junior and Senior College took part in a weekly online language exchange in which they practised their French, Spanish or Italian and their partners were able to practise their English with our pupils. Everyone learnt from the programme (Spellian РTogether we learn) and one of our French Exchange participants even met up with her partner from the Coll̬ge Sainte Marie. Well done to all participants!
I found it helpful to hear how an Italian person speaks and to hear their feedback on how I spoke and what I was saying. I would love to do it again because it was really helpful. Marnie (IJ)
It was a very fun and rewarding experience. I particularly enjoyed chatting with someone close to my age, as it created a comfortable atmosphere. I find it incredibly helpful to speak with a native speaker of that language, as it taught me how people communicate in everyday situations, which goes beyond textbook knowledge. Tiffany (IJ)
