Last Friday, we celebrated our third annual Brass Masterclass, with special guests Slide Action, a professional trombone group including the Principal Bass Trombone of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and other professional freelancers who perform with some of the UK’s leading orchestras.
The day began at 10am with individual masterclass slots, where pupils had to prepare and perform a solo piece in front of their peers and receive feedback from a member of Slide Action, similar to an open lesson. All our ensembles also had slots with the group and the day culminated in a phenomenal concert.
We were delighted to showcase our newest ensemble, Trombone Choir, and special congratulations to Ada, Olivia and Francesca for their comic performance of the ‘Acrobat’. If you missed the concert, you can find the recordings here:
