The whole school went off timetable this week to enjoy our Academic Enrichment Festival with the topic – Nobel Prizes. Form III were curious to learn about the founder, Alfred Nobel: they learnt about his life story and what inspired him to invent… Dynamite! The girls went on to conduct their own science experiment and create their own (safe!) explosions using vinegar and baking soda. They watched closely as the bubbles fizzed and some containers even overflowed! What a memorable day, full of discovery! In Reception, the girls learnt about DNA and found out that DNA is what makes us unique and then we used our unique fingerprints to paint the double helix of the DNA structure. We even practised saying deoxyribonucleic acid!Â
