On Tuesday, 21 Class 1s (Year 9) and 1 Junior (Year 10) Scholars travelled to Westminster School to participate in the Horizons Conference with Westminster School pupils and five other visiting schools from London.
The day was built around considering themes connected to ‘The Edge‘ in which the scholars reflected on geopolitical questions related to the demands on the world’s resources, issues of conflict and renewable energies.
In addition, workshops on the liminal edginess of Gothic Literature, the edges of Space and the edges of the World in classical thought, all hung together on the central theme. Our pupils enjoyed dining for lunch in the 14th Century College Hall, adjacent to the Abbey!
