Recently, our U12 football team, a mixture of pupils from Class 3 and Form VI, travelled to Warwick for the GSA Tournament, setting off very early for the long journey ahead.
Despite it being their first time playing together, the team quickly found their rhythm. After a few narrow losses in the morning, they grew stronger with each game, finishing the early rounds with a convincing win that gave them valuable momentum. Refreshed after lunch, the team returned with renewed energy for the medal matches. They played with impressive cohesion and determination, going unbeaten in all four afternoon games to secure the gold medal in the plate competition. As one of the few schools fielding Year 6 players, their sportsmanship, teamwork, and resilience were outstanding.
A fantastic achievement – well done to everyone involved! Â
