Favourite place you have ever visited?
Playing rugby in Twickenham Stadium was one of the best experiences I have had in my life; 80,000 people make for an atmosphere that not many people will experience! I also love visiting Dubai and South Africa for sport too.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
‘Everyday is a school day’! No matter what level you are at something there is always learning to be had and, at the very top, that 1% can make all the difference.

Ideal restaurant meal option
Roast dinner – I absolutely love a roast, and we try and have one on a Sunday when we are home. Beef or chicken with all the trimmings would be my preference.

What scene in a movie always gives you goosebumps every time you watch it?
I am not really a movie watcher, but I do love the American sports movies that you can’t help but be motivated by such as ‘Coach Carter’ and ‘The Blind Side’.

What do you wish someone taught you a long time ago?
Not to spend even one minute worrying about what other people think about you and what you are doing, concentrate on making yourself happy and looking after you and your family.

I have an A-Level in Maths! I also qualified for the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in 2010 but I couldn’t go as I was competing in the Rugby World Cup at the same time.

What, in your opinion, is the most amazing animal?
Horses have always been very important in my family, and the love and life lessons they have taught my daughter is truly amazing and hopefully it will be something that will always be part of her life.

What TV shows are you hooked on or were recently hooked on?
I don’t really have much time for TV with an extremely sporty child, but I like a wide range of programmes from Stacey Solomon’s ‘Sort Your Life Out’ to ‘Silent Witness’.

If you had to lose one of your senses, which would you choose to lose?
Taste as I think this would have the least impact on your life, but I couldn’t imagine losing any of the others.

Has there ever been a time when something so amazing or unexpected happened that it literally left you speechless for a time?
Winning the World Cup was breathtaking, but it was made even better by having my daughter there with me to share it.

What card or board games do you like to play?
My family love to play games such as Uno and Articulate at family gatherings.
